In September, some Kadampa centers organized away retreats to allow their students to focus on gaining insight into the mind.
Here KMC Quebec, KMC Victoria and Je Tsongkhapa KBC in Pachuca (Mexico) enjoyed away retreats.
Kadampa Podcasts are expanding to bring Dharma teachings from more Teachers to a worldwide audience. You can now access your favorite podcasts on many leading streaming platforms, available in three languages!
September 22 marks the celebration of Buddha’s Return from Heaven Day, a special occasion for Buddhists around the world. On this day, many engage in meditation, prayers, and teachings to honor Buddha’s return.
Enlightenment is the inner light of wisdom that is permanently free from all mistaken appearance, and whose function is to bestow mental peace upon each and every living being every day. Right now we have obtained a human rebirth and have the opportunity to attain enlightenment through Dharma practice, so if we waste this precious opportunity in meaningless activities there is no greater loss and no greater foolishness. This is because in future such a precious opportunity will be extremely hard to find.
